Ninjutsu
Ninjutsu is taught today as part of Budo Taijutsu, it is a martial art with a traceable history stretching back 900 years to feudal Japan, this makes it one of the oldest martial arts.
In our training we employ natural body movements to strike, apply locks, throw and control on the ground.
Once the basic ideas of unarmed protection have been grasped, weapons training will be introduced.
All traditional martial arts weapons are taught.
The martial art of Budo Taijutsu is one of only a few remaining arts today that have not been transformed into sports. There are no competitions or competitive influences in our training, but practical applications are used for self protection.
The training sessions are relaxed and informal with everybody allowed to progress at their own pace.
The aim of the club is to enable students to train in the martial art, to encourage their learning and to foster an understanding of self-protection and the meaning of the traditional martial arts (Budo)
